Power Star Pawan Kalyan Jana Sena
Invitation
Party Members
The actor is likely to unveil the party's symbol and flag at the launch today
Andhra Pradesh will witness yet another star show on Friday evening with the stage set for the mega launch of Jana Sena party by mercurial actor Pawan Kalyan at a star hotel here.
Novotel Hotel is a fortress with gun-toting security scanning the place thoroughly.
About 3,000 fans and a large media contingent have been invited for Mr. Kalyan’s address where he is likely to outline the new party’s priorities and unveil the symbol and flag.
Special entry passes
Specially printed plastic entry passes with the word ‘MEDIA’ inscribed on them along with a symbol that’s expected to be the party’s flag, were given out to prominent people whose names are yet to be disclosed and to mediapersons.
The ‘instructions’ received with the invites include the stipulation that invitees including the media be in their seats a full half hour before the arrival of the star at 6 p.m. at a specially-prepared hall in the hotel that has designated seating for different categories of people.
A giant, 40 feet by 16 feet LED screen was erected at the venue and across the State, at least 40 large-sized such screens will beam the address of Mr. Kalyan that is expected to last about 60 minutes. Several theatres were said to have been blocked to beam the event live, courtesy Dhatri Communications, that will supply feed to television channels.
Attempts to reach Mr. Kalyan’s camp failed to elicit any response. Most of Thursday, it is understood that the star himself was closeted in a farmhouse near Shamshabad and virtually out of bounds for all but those he wanted to be with.
Nagababu’s statement
Meanwhile, Konidella Naga Babu, elder brother of Mr. Kalyan, issued a statement to television channels, stating his support to his elder brother. Addressing the ‘mega star’ fans, he recalled that everyone in the Konidella family owe it to Mr. Chiranjeevi, who showed them the ‘raja margam’ (royal path).
Indebted to Chiru
Regardless of anyone in the family deviating from the path (referring to Mr. Kalyan), he said himself and ‘mega fans’ would forever remain indebted to Mr. Chiranjeevi and support him for the recognition and prestige that they enjoyed in society today. “We are with you, ‘annayya’ (big brother)”, he said.
In a related development, asked about the impact of new parties on the State’s political scenario, APCC chief Raghuveera Reddy said every party that comes up before elections “is a collection party”.
