Magadheera to break BO record despite protests
TOLLYWOOD film-maker Allu Arvind’s blockbuster Magadheera (macho man) will garner revenues of Rs 40 crore despite a storm of protests by lawyers over a song-and-dance sequence that threatens to damage the image of their fraternity.
Megastar Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan Teja plays the lead role in the film, which has been made with a budget of Rs 45-crore. Revenues from the film may even exceed the record set by Pokiri, according to Andhra Pradesh Film Producers Council president Tammareddy Bharadwaja. “Chiranjeevi’s guest appearance in the movie, his political foray a year ago and Andhra fans waiting to see him on screen could significantly contribute to the success of the movie,” Bharadwaja said.
The movie’s production house, Geeta Arts, claimed that revenues, including those from abroad, topped a record Rs 28 crore in the first week. “It had the highest budget and is most likely to break collection records. Controversies will only help viewership,” said a source from Geeta Arts.

Tamil Magadheera in September
Magadheera is stupendous hit in Telugu. Producer Allu Arvind and director SS Rajamouli are busy in dubbing the film in Tamil. The Tamil version of the film will hit the screens in the month of September. Allu Arvind is very much confident about his Tamil Magadheera to create wonders at the box office.Ramcharan who knows good Tamil will render his own voice for Tamil version of Magadheera.
If the film gives similar business like Telugu, Ramcharan's films would have huge business area for his future films too and all his films will be dubbed in Tamil in future too ( similar to hero Vishal), that will hike his remuneration to top in Tollywood.

///
Flouting the norms of the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce as for as the release of theatres for non Kannada films in Karnataka the distributor of ‘Magadheera’ Telugu film Vijayakumar released the film in one theatre excess in the first week and eleven cinema halls in excess in the second week. According to the rule book the non Kannada films should not exceed 21 cinema halls in Karnataka. Being a member of KFCC Vijayakumar decrying the guidelines is facing strictures from the Kannada Film Producers Association. As a matter of fact the non Kannada films could release in only 17 theatres in Bangalore and four else where in the state.
The Kannada Film Producers Association in a meeting on Sunday morning has decided to hold a protest in front of Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday (11th August 2009) at 12 noon for flouting the norms. The KFPA is sitting again on Monday morning to decide on the punishment for breaking such rules.
Vijayakumar the committee member too in the Apex body Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce surpassing the rule book is what irked the Kannada film producers. In the past the same Vijayakumar flouted the norms for ‘Jalsa’ (Pawan Kalyan) Telugu film. What is interesting is that ‘Magadheera’ distributor who bought the rights for Rs.1.5 crores has earned Rs.4.5 crores.///
